Seabird flew & crashed full speed down the companionway into the galley last night at 3AM!! Released back into flight. Crew & bird are said to be recovering well from the traumatic incident!!
Today was a calm day with easy sailing. The forecast mentioned potential squalls in the evening, and just before sunset, while Jolanda and I were sharing a romantic moment on the bow, we noticed some formations on the radar. We decided to play it safe, taking down the parasailor for the night and switching to the white sails (main and genoa).
The night passed without any surprises, and early this morning, we hoisted the parasailor again. We’re getting pretty good at it—even managing to keep Jolanda asleep through the whole process. I had promised to wake her up next time for a bit of excitement, but this time she got to enjoy her rest.
