ARC+ Day 9 – Workout on the boat

Nothing noteworthy from the captain this morning—just another day of smooth sailing. Jolanda proved that limited space is no excuse to skip a workout!

We’ve covered 553NM with 1,613NM still ahead. As you can see from the picture, our group (Crusing B) is staying close together (we’re the green boat). The weather forecast shows stronger winds picking up in the south over the coming days, so we’ve adjusted our course further south to take advantage. While some boats have passed us, we’re hopeful our strategy will pay off!

With weather forecasts pulling us in every direction, planning our strategy feels a bit like a chess game. By the way, two days ago, the Vendée Globe (https://www.vendeeglobe.org) boats passed by—too far away to spot them, though. We’re sailing at 7 knots while they’re flying along at 25 knots! GO BORIS GO!!!
Today, we spotted three birds and found ourselves wondering how they manage to rest out here in the vast open ocean.

Tonight we had delicious Ravioli and enjoyed another beautiful sunset with our friends.
